Check out a few tracks from our recent rehearsals so far this year. This is a work in progress, so it’s far from a final product. But we thought we might share these tracks anyway until we get around to recording our actual album later this year. Enjoy 🙂
Norwegian Tunes for the Happy Jammer
NEW DATE!!! APRIL 22nd 🙂

Come and learn a couple of fiddle tunes from Norway with me. We will focus on good jam tunes that you can play with other Scandi musicians and that you can use for years to come. We might also dive into the ornaments and double-stops to achieve an authentic sound, and even some harmonies if we have time.
The class is suitable for intermediate and advanced players and will be taught on the fiddle. But all fiddle-compatible instruments are welcome! It will also be taught by ear, so bring a recording device. Sheet music will be provided after the class.

“Geitungen – Vaniljesaus” – digital releas!
The first album I ever did and the first album of my old band Geitungen, “Vaniljesaus”, is finally released digitally on Spotify and wherever you stream or download music! “Vaniljesaus” represents and presents both original tunes inspired by local Norwegian folk music and beyond, and the early meeting and the teenage creativity between the boys that formed Geitungen. Many good and charming memories for us here through every track.
Enjoy
Peer Gynt
I had the pleasure of being “the Norwegian Fiddler” on a symphonic theater adventure with Peer Gynt last week at Bradley Symphony Center in Milwaukee, together with Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Concert Theatre Works, and their wonderful crew! It was a blast and I can’t wait for more
NOMAS flow – on Bandcamp
The album “flow” by NOMAS is now available on Bandcamp! NOMAS is the first class of the Nordic Master in folk music (2007-2009), and “flow” happens to be the first album I ever produced.

Play it again, Ole!
CD release concert in Decorah IA, July 28th.
The New Ole Hendricks Orchestra is reviving the charming repertoire of a rare 1890s tune book compiled by Norwegian born fiddler Ole Hendricks (1851-1935.) Ole became a bandleader in Minnesota playing quadrilles, polkas, reinlenders, and waltzes. We are proud to announce our CD, “Play It Again, Ole!”
The concert is at The Lingonberry, Decorah IA, July 28th at 1:30 pm.
Free admission!
